App & MVP development

Your app, designed, built and launched.

One team takes your idea from a clickable mock-up to a live app on iPhone, Android or the web. You approve every screen before we write code, and you own all of it.

How much does it cost to build an app with Bytecrest?

Apps and MVPs start at $14,900 as a fixed price. Most first versions we quote land between $14.9k and $30k. The final number depends on platforms, user roles, AI features and integrations. You get it in writing after a free 20-minute call, and it only changes if you change the plan.

What changes when one team builds your app

all of it, one invoice

What’s included in the price

  • Product map: who it’s for, what the first version does, and what waits
  • UX flows, a design system and every screen, as a clickable mock-up
  • iPhone and Android (React Native / Expo) or a web app (React)
  • Backend, database, sign-in and payments (Supabase, Firebase, Stripe)
  • App Store and Google Play submission
  • Hosting, error tracking and 30 days of free fixes after launch

How it works, stage by stage

Every app goes through the same four stages. You approve each one before the next begins, so there are no surprises at the end.

  1. Map it

A free 20-minute call, then a written build plan. It says who the app is for, what version one does, what waits for version two, and the fixed price. You read it and say yes or no.

  2. Design it

Mubashir designs the flows, the design system and every screen. You tap through a clickable mock-up on your own phone and ask for changes while they are still cheap.

  3. Build it

Sajid builds the app in short rounds. After each round you test it on your phone and tell us what to change. Backend, sign-in and payments are built alongside.

  4. Launch it

We submit to the App Store and Google Play, set up hosting and error tracking, and Shahzad cuts the launch video. Then 30 days of free fixes begin.

What a $14.9k starting price covers

The starting price covers a complete first version, not a prototype. Here is what is inside it and what moves it up.

In the base price

  • Written build plan and product map
  • Every screen designed, as a clickable mock-up
  • One app built for the platforms in the plan, with sign-in and a backend
  • Store submission, hosting set-up and 30 days of free fixes

What adds cost

More platforms
iPhone and Android from one React Native codebase adds roughly 20 to 30 percent, not double.
More kinds of user
Customer, staff and admin each need their own screens, permissions and tests.
AI features
Calling a model is cheap. Making it answer reliably from your data, with logging and a human hand-off, is the work.
Integrations
Payments, calendars, CRMs and maps each add days. A badly documented outside system can add more.
Admin panel, offline mode, compliance
Health, finance and children’s data need audit trails and reviews that a simple app does not.

Not in the price: your Apple Developer account ($99 a year), Google Play account ($25 once), and the hosting and AI usage bills, which go straight to your own accounts. See the running costs on the MVP cost guide. See the full cost breakdown.

How to choose: freelancer, studio or agency

For a first app, the cost that surprises founders is their own time. A studio with a fixed price and one point of contact keeps that time low.

A freelancer

Lowest day rate. But an app needs design, iPhone and Android code, a backend, store submission and hosting. One person rarely does all of it well, so you end up managing the gaps.

Good if you already have a technical lead.

A studio like Bytecrest

One small team designs the screens, builds the app, submits it to the stores and hosts it, for a fixed price. The code and accounts are in your name.

Good if you don’t code and want one team accountable.

An agency

Product managers, QA and many specialists, priced for funded companies. More process than a first version needs.

Good if you need a large team or a long engagement.

Who this is for, and who it isn’t

We’re a good fit if

  • You have an idea and some budget, but no technical co-founder
  • You want one team accountable for design, code and launch
  • You need a first version real customers can use

We’re probably not if

  • You only need one developer to join an existing team
  • The budget is under $14.9k for a full app

Apps we have designed and built

All work

Baba Clinic is a clinic system that is live in two clinics, with six roles and 316 automated tests. Myaigi is an AI habit coach for iPhone. Evello is a care workforce app we designed for iOS and Android. Open any of them to see the real screens and what we handed over.

Questions founders ask about app development

Q. How much does an MVP cost?

Apps and MVPs start at $14.9k, and most first versions we quote land between $14.9k and $30k. A simple app with sign-in, a few core screens and payments sits near the bottom of that range; AI features, an admin panel or offline mode push it up. You get a fixed price after the first call.

Q. Do you build native or cross-platform apps?

Usually cross-platform with React Native and Expo, so one codebase runs on iPhone and Android. If your app needs something only native code can do, we’ll tell you on the first call.

Q. Will I own the code?

Yes. The repository, the App Store and Play accounts, the designs and the hosting are all in your name from day one. We sign an NDA before you share your idea.

Q. What happens after launch?

You get 30 days of free fixes. After that most clients keep us on for hosting, upkeep and new features, but you’re free to take the code anywhere.
