Privacy policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

Short version: this website uses no cookies and doesn’t track you. We only get your details when you book a call or email us, we use them to talk to you about your project, and we never sell them.

Who we are

Bytecrest is a small product studio that designs, builds, hosts and films apps, websites and AI automations. For anything about your data, email hello@bytecrest.dev.

When you visit the site

We don’t use cookies or ad trackers, and our fonts load from our own server. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn’t track you across sites; it tells us things like which pages are read and how fast they load. Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running. We don’t use any of this to identify you.

When you book a call

Bookings run through zcal. When you book, we receive:

zcal adds the call to our Google Calendar and creates a Google Meet link. zcal and Google handle that data under their own privacy policies.

When you email us

Mail to hello@bytecrest.dev is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our Google (Gmail) inbox. We keep the conversation so we can reply and follow up on your project.

How we use your details

We don’t add you to a mailing list, sell your data or share it for advertising. Ideas you share stay confidential, and we’re happy to sign an NDA before you go into detail.

Who else handles your data

These services may store data outside your country.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and booking details while we’re talking about a project, and for as long as we need them if you become a client. If we don’t work together, you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the details we hold about you. Email hello@bytecrest.dev and we’ll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights under local law, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
